Hotel was old and in need of paint, missing pieces in the shower, shower was hot-warm-cold-hot (not regulated well). We asked for a family room and got 2 adjoining rooms -- not ideal for a family with 2 small girls.

Probably a great hotel 30 years ago. Some renovations but has a long way to go. Unattended children running around. Polite children but still - why is no one with them? No help with luggage at check in or even a cart to help us. Rotten wooden door to parking lot. No handles but a brick propped it open. Obviously where smokers went as lots of cigarette butts around. Very unsafe to have a door propped open into the hotel! Room was hot even with heater off. Afraid to leave window open at night. Definitely NOT a 4* or Luxury hotel. More along lines of Motel 6!

The location was convenient for an early. -morning flight. The food was good, and the drink choices were extensive. Very friendly staff. My bed was not especially comfortable, and dealing with the stairs to the first floor was a problem for my aging knees. The lift was not located close enough to my room to be worth using. My room was not very soundproof. There seemed to be a lot of thumping coming from nearby late into the night -- a family with children perhaps. Still, I would stay here again if I had a similar travel schedule.

Amazing hotel, beautiful rooms, beautiful food. Just need to think about putting families with children upstairs as the noise made it impossible to sleep until 2 am

Absolutely fantastic stay within Treacys Oakwood Hotel. Staff were so helpful and professional. Rooms were beautiful and the kids club movie night experiences are an added bonus. Wonderful experience and will definitely stay here again in the future.

My family and I flew into Shannon for a two week stay in Ireland. We took an overnight flight from the US and needed to eat breakfast and rest. The Oak Wood was perfect. It was clean and cozy, with great food and a nice bar. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again.

FANTASTIC!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! an hour before check-in we added another person to our room. The gentleman at the front desk was VERY accomodating! He remembered our name when we checked-in, and out, was super friendly, and a pleasure to chat with! Our room was a family room and it was HUGE! The beds were comfortable, the food in the restaurant was very good! WE WOULD LOVE TO RETURN!!

The room was grand and clean. We were a family of 3 and our room was very cramped as my son had a wheelchair and there wasn’t much room to manoeuvre around and not enough room to move in the bathroom. It had a lovely walk in shower but not suitable to a person who uses a wheelchair. Staff were friendly and food was good. We will stay again but in a family room that is wheelchair accessible.
