Talbot Hotel

Very disappointing stay overall. Both nights we stayed there were weddings on which 1st night went on til after 12. Music thumping through the floor and people out in the smoking area shouting. 2nd night was the worst music went on until after 2 am absolute disgrace for a family hotel. People out shouting and fighting in the smoking courtyard. Ended up calling to speak to the manager who said he would ask for the noise to be brought down and people to use other smoking area. Lasted about 30 mins and was back as worse. Almost 3am going to sleep when the noise finally settled. Hallway doors banging non stop. Breakfast area is disaster air conditioning kept on and breakfast goes freezing cold. Pool is filthy and no shallow area or kids area. The dome play centre is good ans has great deals for familes. Overall hotel could do with some big reservations would not rate it four stars by no account. The food was fabulous on the 4th floor restaurant 3 course meal i think 30 euro and a great kids menu. Food was outstanding there, but bar menu is very overpriced and not worth it. This was our 2nd time here in a few years and was let down big time. Definitely will not be returning. Management i will say are great help and do try there best. But hotel overall needs big changes.

Stayed here 4 nights when visiting family. Had my son who is two years old and it had the facilities next door at the dome to keep him entertained. Room was big, clean and beds were comfy. We didn't use the pool as your required to wear a swimming hat which is apparently normal there. We had breakfast included and there was a lot of choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service was fast. Couldn't fault a thing.

Had a lovely time at the Talbot. Staff were very friendly. The food in the bar was lovely but it was very slow service. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Only downfall about the room was that there were only two bath towels and four of us staying in the room! Would definitely recommend this hotel for family holidays.

Staff were excellent . Food menu limited , breakfast ok. However rooms very dated. TV was so old , you don't see them any more. Small screen , not comfortable to watch. One of the beds had cigarette burns in bed cover and blanket. Furniture shabby. However very relaxed , great for kids. The staff made up for the rooms as they were so friendly and helpful.

Nice rooms and good breakfast. Bistro food is very poor, pool changing rooms are filthy looking. Advertised as family hotel and would have thought they were more accepting of children but felt my kids were in the way which is not what you want obviously.
