Hyatt Regency Bali - CHSE Certified

Great place to stay, but aged and old. If you like a clean, spacious, and dandy rooms, you might not like this hotel. If you like nature-friendly and old atmosphere, then you might like this hotel. The ambience is good. However, be aware that standard and deluxe rooms are on the higher floor and all the premium and family rooms are on the ground floor. Rooms on the ground floor had a strong smell of mold. I upgraded my room to a executive suite, paying a lot of money, because of that. Suite rooms are on each of the higher floor. Pools are great with lots of shades. Breakfast was delicious. The garden was well kept with a beautiful, tropical trees and flowers. Staff service was excellent, and I particularly appreciate Mr Arya, who took care of the process of room change. He was so kind and attentive.

I was very pleased with the ambiance of the resort and the security. The front Manager Sintia was very accommodating and professional. She took the time to answer my concerns. The staff was very pleasant and courteous especially Sri at Omang Omang and Tia one of the waitress. Overall I had a wonderful experience and would recommend the Hyatt Regency Bali to friends & family.

The Hyatt is a beautiful property with ponds and ducks and nice pool. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had a couple of challenges at the beginning of our stay. Our AC was making noises our first night and even though we could only check in around 10pm they sent a technician to fix it and help us sleep. We had to ask them to come and clean our room around 4:30pm a couple of times so you may want to inform the desk of what time you want your room serviced during each day of your stay to insure this is done to your liking. I would like it if they had a bit more variety on their room service menu. The breakfast was great and it was really nice to sit on the patio of the Pizzaria by the beach in the evening to have drinks and snacks while feeling the cool ocean breeze. The property is located in the best spot in Sanur to walk to all the best shopping and restaurants. I really like how there was an extra path added to the beach walk allowing for easier walking and biking along Sanur's Beach. The water here is very calm on the beach and safe for families to swim since there is no real surf except for very far out from shore. I enjoyed using their gym. I was disappointed that their hot tubs were not working in the spa area though. I plan to stay here again when I go to Bali.

Recently completely renovated, everything in the room was in perfect working order. Rooms were modestly sized. Shutters as window coverings so didn't block out the sun as fully as curtains would have. Stayed five nights and breakfast was 95% the same every day - more variety would have been great. Pools were beautifully designed and landscaped (very Instagrammable) but were warm and offered little relief from the heat by mid-morning. The hotel advertised kids club but the club was not operating. Same goes for business centre. Hotel offered dinner in the Pizzeria restaurant as a gesture of goodwill given we needed both of these services. That turned into something of a debacle, as the gesture went from 'dinner' when discussed with duty manager to 'one pizza and two alcoholic drinks' (between three of us) on arrival at the restaurant to 'two courses each and two non-alcoholic drinks' when we pointed out that one pizza did not represent dinner for two adults and a 4 year old child. The simple solution would have been not to advertise services/facilities they don't currently have.

The decor was a little dated in the room, but the grounds were absolutely superb and the staff excellent. The grounds were so attractive that we spent little time in the room. The meals were a little pricey by Asia standards (avg. by US standards), but several excellent local restaurants are a few minutes pleasant walk from the hotel. A Circle K market is also close, where you can pick up snacks, drinks and bottled water cheaply. I can jokingly say that the only negative thing about the hotel was that my kids wanted to enjoy the more of the hotel and do less sightseeing! I wish we had scheduled to stay here longer.
