We visited Movenpick Jimbaran in Febraury 2024 and were very impressed with the staff, the spa, the choices of food, the kids club, proximity to the beach (3-5 mins walk) and quality of the resort. We have stayed at many hotels around the world and this would be up there with one of our favourites.
Before going, we researched the kids clubs for our 3.5 year old. She thoroughly enjoyed this and the team looked after her well. We always stayed with her, due to her age, but she was more than happy playing with the other kids and loved all the great activities they had planned.
My wife thoroughly enjoyed the spa (as did I) and the team decorated the rooms nicely for Valentines Day and on our arrival.
The kids menus at the restaurants were also great - plenty of options for our picky child. The adults food options and beverage list was exceptional too.
Lovely pools and 2 water parks for the kids - our daughter enjoyed both.
Overall, a great stay. We have also stayed at their resort in Maldives. Both are great. Will be back.

The property itself is OK, although the facilities seem better on paper than they actually are.
The biggest challenge though is poor management. Some examples:
- Check-in took more than an hour. Room not available even at 6:00 pm which is 3 hrs after the check in time.
- we had booked 6 rooms. It is reasonable to assume that the hotel would be able to atleast allocate them near each other. Wasn't the case. The hotel thought it would be fine for parents and kids to stay in non-adjacent rooms. This despite a prior request for connecting rooms.
- Ham and cheese sandwich at the main restaurant 'ran out'. Not sure what that even means. Next morning at the breakfast, butter 'sold out'.
- while staff was courteous and friendly, they are clearly not trained properly thus creating a very uneven service experience.
- No activity is available unless you book 24 hrs in advance. Hard to have a holiday that way.
- There were billing and charging errors and check-out took another 45 mins.
- When we escalated the various issues, the duty manager did address some of those and throw in some perks, however, some of the issues are structural and the management would be well-advised to fix them at the root.
- regards theproperty itself, it's a smallish property with only 1 restaurant, not too many activities/facilities and the beach is a bit underwhelming. Food quality was middling. On the plus side, the rooms are decent, the pool is good.
We would not be back at Movenpick any time soon.

My family of 4 ( husband, toddler and an 8 month old baby) stayed from Oct. 26 to Nov 7th in total. We extended our trip an extra four days becuase my son was sick but also becuase we found every comfort at Movenpik. Beginning with the staff; the entire management team especially, have treated us not only like royalties, but like family. Our family were very happy at the hotel for the very beautiful surroundings, the room and the comfort of amazing bed linens. But what made our experience at Movenpik beyond amazing were the staff. The care, the attentativeness, and the affection my children received blew us away. Especially when my 8 month old was sick, Mr. Tolah from the management team helped us arrange for a doctor to our room so that my son can be seen without having to leave the comforts of the hotel while he was unwell. They gave us the privilege to contact the mangement team directly any time day/night when we needed help. Our stay included breakfast but due to my son's condition we couldn't all go to the restaurant so we would have missed breakfast each day. However, Mr. Rain in management offered to have in-room dinning bring us breakfast each day until our son recovered. He's done so so that we wouldn't have to miss breakfast and lose out. Again becuase of my son's condition, it was necessary to isolate the children. Mr. Rain once again came to our aid and offered us room upgrades so that our children can have separation. Unfortunately, that didn't work for us so

My overall 2 night stay here was pleasant. Staff was polite and kind, rooms were clean, breakfast was fulfilling.
I did not use any pool area, but it looked great.
My only negative is that every night, I would be harassed by mosquitoes in the bedroom, and I couldn’t find or get rid of it because it would disappear everytime I turned on the lights.
Last, sometimes there would be an odor in the bathroom that comes and go, a sewer kind of smell.
But aside from that, it’s a good family friendly resort if you have kids.

we have stayed here in the past but this time around the service was bad and we lest earlier then expected by 3 days. staff seems lost and confused. at check in no one approached us. our bags to the room took 30min and then we had to call to ask. 2 days into the stay they said we had no money against the room even though we had given a deposit.. they only gave us 1 towel and 1 paper roll for the e toilet for a family of 3. the restaurant was to busy so there was a lack of food and took long to get restocked. all in all it lost its standard.

It has nice features for kids, but not as complete as i thought it would. What I liked the most is the seafood dinner and the breakfast. Room quality is good and quite spacious. Didn't have the chance to try out the spa unfortunately.

I am a loyal HOTELS.COM gold member..
Upon arrival was told rudely by 3 staff members that they do not recognise HOTELS.COM membership and would not honour the benefits that come with gold membership.. no early check in or check out, no 20% off food and beverage, and certainly no upgrade (even though there definitely was availability).
If you are a HOTELS.COM member.. do NOT book here.
If I had known they wouldn't accept my membership, I would not have booked here.. I booked for my family because of my loyalty to the membership. I absolutely wasted money on this hotel where I should have gone elsewhere.
Nobody from the hotel had gotten back to me.. so I'll continue to post on social media and YouTube until someone gets back to me.
