Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra

The room was not very clean. The carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years in our room. There were wall tiles made of cloth that were simply nailed back onto the wall as opposed to pulling them. It lookedshabby given the name brand. Breakfast was satisfactory and well worth it if you booked it in advance on a website, especially for a whole family. Pool on the roof looked quite nice. We only spend one night and wasn't overly impressed by the hotel. Staff did not seem to engaged. All in all if you get a super great deal for this hotel and you're just staying one night to see the Taj, it's fine. Don't have to high expectations given quality and luxury that the brand is known for.

Very good value for the money. Did not like how some staff (housekeeping, restaurant) urged us repeatedly to provide reviews of their service on travel site. We understand it’s important but it appeared quite aggressive. The housekeeping manager on our floor kept wanting to put additional toiletries that were neither wanted or needed while we were obviously busy with phone calls to family and recovering from the day’s activities.

We are a family of 4 from California. Wanted to show Taj Mahal, Agra fort & places nearby to my kids. Just went ahead & booked Taj Hotel & Convention Centre. Our trip was awesome. Deepak of Travel desk made excellent arrangements. We visited Taj, Agra fort, Fatepur sikri, Mathura & Vrindavan. A guide accompanied us throughout & made excellent arrangements. Our stay at Taj was out of the world. Food was great. Service was outstanding. They made our entire trip very memorable. We were so impressed. I strongly recommend people to just go ahead with his place if you are considering a trip to Agra. Will definitely visit once more !!!
