POSITIVES - friendly and helpful staff (with two exceptions listed below - extremely clean with a morning service and evening service - sauna facilities for guests were lovely and relaxing (steam room/sauna/jacuzzi/outdoor pool) - various options for breakfast CONS - when we checked in, we weren’t informed that we had access to the club room and what it offered. My family were able to access it on the final day (after my husband and I had checked out) and told us of the delicious food and cocktails/drinks available for free. We only became aware after spending a considerable amount at the bar and an employee advised my brother, upon paying the bill, that we could have had drinks in the club room. - we booked a table for 8 people at the Indian restaurant downstairs and upon arriving were told there was no table booked. We were then finally given a table after a 20minute wait and apologies however the food then took over an hour to arrive, and at different times (with naan arriving much earlier than the main and drying out. When we asked for fresh naan with the main, it came out after a long time and the main dish eaten). I ordered the camembert naan and everyone else at the table had eaten, with my main dish pretty cold, by the time it arrived. The manager did not come over to apologise but visited every other table in the restaurant. It seems they were short staffed as another table was about to walk out. However the food was absolutely delicious and well done to the chef!

Excellent hotel. Treated so well. Upgraded room. Breakfast in the club lounge amazing. Only issue was dining at House of Ming restaurant where the young waitress kept pushing us to order more food bc of 'small potions'. Portions were very large especially for my two children and myself with three entrees, noodle dish plus appetizer so of course we wasted half of it with price tag 17,000 rupees. Felt she pushed this on a 'foreigner' to increase a tip. Regardless, we enjoyed breakfast where we were doted upon . After check in, our front desk staff walked us personally to our room. He sent fresh squeezed juice, our extra bed came immediately. The room was grand with shower head in the ceiling with massive rain shower. Looking out the windows, felt as if I was in a remote place rather than central Delhi. Trees and treetops for miles.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic. They gave us advice about every aspect of our stay - what places to visit, getting car/drivers from the hotel, getting taxis, what days were busy, when there would be traffic, etc. – and organized anything that we asked. They were extremely, extremely friendly. (As an example - I dialed a wake-up call on the phone, without talking to anyone. But in the morning, in addition to the wake-up call, one of the staff called to my door to check that I had heard the call). The food in the hotel was excellent, and the serving staff were extremely friendly. Every single person working for the hotel said hello and was eager to help. I have recommended this hotel to my family and their friends.

We stayed here for 4 nights and Taj Delhi lived up to its fame. Rooms were big for 2 adults and 2 kids with a king bed and extra bed. Breakfast was fabulous and I recommend buying the option where this is included. Staff and service were great. Even though the hotel was a bit dated it added to the charm.
