ibis Styles Budapest Airport

Stayed a single night prior to early flight departure afterca family holiday visit. This is the closest hotel to the airport, you literalky walk over to the terminal. Very clean, friendly, basic but comfortable, even quiet for an airport hotel. Slept reasonably well, beds are simple but spacious, mattresses are on the hard side which I prefer anyway. Bathroom is very clean, not fan of the half- open type of glass shower stalls these days seem to be everywhere, but the water is plenty and hot. Basic towels and soap provided, also hairdryer. Checkin crew at reception is friendly and knowledgeable, speaks excellent English. There is a restaurant open late at night and for early breakfast, along with a small bar (sadly could not figure out coffee machine so missed out on this). For those who desire more amenities, you may be happy to know they are building a new hotel right next door by the same hotel group (Accor) but with more stars and a rooftop bar. Highly recommending this place if you have a morning flight out of BUD.

I traveled with my 7 month old baby the heating in my room was not working I complaint and asked if there was another room available because I could not stay in a cold room with my baby I was told there is no other room they can change me to I told them there is no heating in this room for my baby and I got a smart Reply from the receptionist saying That I will be OK.. Such ignorant and u professional staff should not be working with the public I will never stay in this hotel again and will definitely not recommend to anyone

Pros: The hotel is very close to terminal. No shuttle needed at all. Hotel is very clean and staff were all very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection. We also tried their dinner and was surprised how good it was. I had the burger and the wife had the salmon. Cons: If you are a large person (i.e.; obese American), you may want to stay elsewhere. The area where the toilet is located in the bathroom is ridiculously small and you will not fit. Not kidding either. BIG Con: We arrived early to check-in and although the room was ready for us, they charged 45 Euro extra for us to occupy the room we had reserved. This makes absolutely no sense and is a total money grab! Seriously, who else are they going to have stay in the room for the few hours we would have to wait to check-in? SMH
