Novotel Budapest City

Had a great stay at this property with my family celebrating my wife’s birthday, the staff were so great provided a cake and champagne. Amazing 5 star service would highly recommend.

Checking in was like crossing borders. Passport control for all guests. Including the kids. A trolley for the luggage would be helpful. Staff need to smile a bit to guests. Wi-Fi was not working. Elevators need better programming. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. They even had a welcome gift for the kids. Breakfast was very good.

Good location of the hotel. Close to public transportation and shoppingmall. Ride into city center around 20 min with one change. Breakfast was godo with high quality food. Room (2 adult, 2 child) was big enough. We missed places to hang towels and general storgae space. The pool and sauna was great as well.

Check in prompt, room great. The swimming pool and spa are wonderful we were alone in the pool most of the time with our 3 year old who had run of the pool. The room was clean and had everything required for a comfortable stay although a little small for a family room. Location was not central but both the bus and tram ran from the front of the hotel and only took 10 mins to the heart of the city. There is a shopping centre across from the hotel with good shops and a variety of places to eat and drink. We only ate once in the hotel (evening meal) the food was not nice and extremely over priced, the bar staff the evening we ate were also not very helpful or welcoming nor child friendly. That said the hotel was lovely, well maintained and all staff at front dest could not do enough for us throughout our stay. City Tips: Eat out better food better price Visit the city Zoo its the most interactive Zoo we have ever visited. Travel on bus or tram its cheep and you get to see the city. Visit the covered markets and try everything you can its a wonderful experience. Hotel Tips: Dont be put off from the look of the hotel from the outside. The pool and Spa are great - the gym also very high spec. Use the front desk staff to help plan your trip they are great.
