Anantara New York Palace Budapest

What a lovely stay we had. We got upgraded to a junior suite because it’s my birthday week and I was given a chocolate cake which was really delicious. Will come back for sure .

Lovely grand hotel! Excellent service from the bellmen, front desk, concierge, spa and housekeeping. Delicious meal at The White Salon with amazing decor, food and excellent service. We had massages and facials at the spa and then enjoyed the sauna pools and steam. The rooms were huge and very comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom with nice soaps and towels. My family loved this hotel. It’s located on a busy street and is about a 10-15 minute walk to the touristy areas. But we looked at the hotel as a destination in itself. Jennifer the concierge, was super helpful and booked us a boat cruise and helped with restaurant and shopping suggestions. Overall we had a fantastic stay at this gorgeous hotel. Can’t wait to visit again.

The service from the entire staff was exceptional. When we encountered a mechanical issue with our room, Juhasz Virag the guest manager upgraded our room, comped breakfast, gave us a departure box of chocolates and had the kitchen prepare a snack for our flight. She went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. We travel the world staying in the finest hotels and this hotel and service ranks up there with the best. We also took advantage of the spa including massages. Leona in the spa provided one of the best massages I have ever experienced. Incredible!! This was our 2nd visit to Budapest, we love this city, and if we return, we will be staying again at the Anantara in a junior suite.

Everything is exceptional from the gracious hospitality, stunning historical beauty and maintenance of the hotel, the magnificent New York Café, etc. An unforgettable experience. Many thanks to the staff and management for making my and my children’s Budapest stay a remarkable one.

Hotel was fabulous, our junior suite was very comfortable and spacious. We will most definitely be back.

My family enjoyed the hotel very much

Considering the price, and the fact that it’s supposed to be 5 stars, we unfortunately had quite a big problem with the housekeeping towards the end of our stay - although everything else was really good! First, the housekeeping didn’t attend to our room at all - and when we went to the reception to inform about this, they sent staff to our room to do their job. When the room was «ready», the staff had just passive aggressively folded the dirty wet towels (that we previously had left on the floor to be exchanged) and placed them neatly, placed our wet dirty slippers on each side of the bed, put our dirty spoons neatly in place... We had to go back down to the reception again to tell them that our room was in fact not cleaned at all. The receptionists were very apologetic and seemed embarrassed about the situation, and got housekeeping to do their job again - this time with their supervisor. We got some free snacks and a drink while we were waiting for the room to be cleaned again. To our frustration the only thing that changed in our room was that we got some clean towels, on top of the dirty ones, and the spoons were clearly just rinsed off and not replaced. Again we had to go to the reception but it was getting late and we just wanted to go to sleep. We were promised a room upgrade (junior suite) the next day, and the new room was amazing! We also got some complimentary cakes from the New York café and a very nice apology letter from the Guest Relation Manager.

Incredible building, fantastic and really friendly staff. I’m going to return with the family. I can’t rate this place highly enough
