Beautiful pool and grounds, family friendly. Great buffet breakfast which is not included. Easy walk to the main square, beautiful views of Vulcan Aqua.

Great place to relax - felt very luxurious and comfortable. The staff were always available and helpful, the pool and food were excellent, and the room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The pool are is gorgeous and made it all feel like a resort, with the advantages of Antigua nearby (but without a lot of noise). The macaws were an added delight- check out their 70 year history - my partner saw the same ones there as a child! As an environmentalist, I would have liked more information around their eco-friendly efforts, but I never saw a plastic bottle or straw (they use paper straws).

The photos do not do this place justice, it was absolutely stunning in real life. Staff was so friendly and helpful, our room was gorgeous and quiet, we all slept like babies. Both pools were beautiful, the artwork around the property were gorgeous, we loved all of it! Thank you Porta Hotel, we will back!

The hotel has built an excellent service culture among the team members. Each and every team member provided a friendly greeting and responded to our needs in an efficient and courteous way. There were holiday activities for the children. Overall I highly recommend this excellent hotel!

Beautifully maintained property with a very accommodating staff. This non Spanish speaking patron was impressed with their staffs patience and ability to communicate with me. They made me feel welcomed despite my inability to speak their language. It was very much appreciated. The pool and playground area was wonderful for my young grandchildren.

First, let me start with the positive. Bedrooms were super comfortable and very, very clean. We loved our comfortable beds and shower. The room had a lovely clean scent and the lighting was beautiful. They also had a cute little courtyard with a little table and 2 chairs. Now on to the negatives. Checking took 15 minutes I wasn't expecting that long of a wait since I had already paid upfront through Expedia. When I booked through Expedia I entered 2 adults and one child who is 14 and booked two double beds. I received a room with two double beds, however, they only allow two adults per room. Then she asks us to pay an additional $36 for my daughter and another $6 to help with the conservation of some sort which I did not mind paying. But having to dish out more money for my child was annoying. Parking was free, but since everything was within walking distances they ask you to leave your car parked 4 blocks away from hotel. Unfortunately that day it pour rained and the bus that takes you to pick up your car was not available after 6pm. We tried walking but we got our shoes soaking wet. When we checked out we lost our parking ticket and the same older lady who asked us to pay for the extra person wanted me to pay for the lost ticket $$$ Do I recommend it maybe not. Will I stay there again. NO!

Overpriced. Dark, dungeon-like room. Bad lighting and long walk to get room from main part of the hotel. Slow service at Restuarant and pool. Charged us over $200 for having two kids in our room.

Very well kept property, with extremely attentive staff. Great for families (climatized swimming pool and kids playground available). Optimal distance from the Central Square of town, to avoid the hustle and bustle, but to quickly reach it (5 min. walk).
