The Amalia has had some great upgrades since I visited 7 years ago. Rooms are clean and sophisticated with great views. Breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. My only complaint, which is small, is that our room didn’t get as cold as the one our family was in. The room temperature was comfortable, but I always prefer a cold room. We will definitely stay here again.

An architectural gem that owners had the wisdom to renovate but keep unchanged. Bed was comfy, room was nice. The thing that needs improving is the insulation - you can hear everything and everyone that walks by outside of your room. Other than that, I really can't get why a vacation traveller has to use an alarm clock to get breakfast - 10 am is way too early for breakfast closing time for young travellers without kids - I witnessed about 5 couples rushing down the steps between 9:55 and 10:05. Finally, breakfast had plenty options of average quality.
