This place really drags the “Hyatt” name through the mud. First impressions are crucial and our first contact was non-existent. As we arrived to park our hire car at the entrance and take out our luggage/bags, both door men did not once try help us take them out as they were both deep in conversation oblivious to us. I then asked them about the parking and they still didn’t offer to help us with our luggage or direct us to concierge. There are quite a few staff around the lobby but they seem a little lost and unprofessional and quite literally walking around in circles, trying to look busy. The room condition is outdated with marks across the floor and decay in the bathroom. The rooftop and breakfast area are quite nice but feels way too small for the amount of people in the complex (one toaster for an area that could hold over 200 people). The breakfast was also very average compared to other 5 star hotels. The surrounding area also has a wide selection of “adult” services and some of their clientele like to stay here making it a bit of a weird/uncomfortable vibe. It’s also on a main road, not really within walking distance of the city square. To finish, check out was appalling with only one lift working and many people waiting for the lifts on each level. We called reception to ask for help with our luggage and they said “we’ll try let them know” - no one ended up coming to assist us or the 15 other people (elderly and children) waiting for the lift so we carried our lu

Pool was gorgeous as well as the view. Check in process was horrendous ! the lines were too long, they pulled people that were behind me and another family and checked them in, by doing that others moved behind those ppl and 5 people were checked in before me. only 2 ppl handling check ins and one was a trainee. then after doing all of that, we did not get the key cards bec the room was not ready. almost had to wait in line again to get keys, but i told her i would not do that. they did not seem to care how long the line was and it seemed to be that way everytime i passed the lobby. very poor

We stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The rooms had a really bad smell. We complained to the manager that tried to show us a different room but was even worse. Breakfast was a nightmare! The sitting area had a bad smell of paint remover,. The kids couldn't eat there, we ended up going to a cafe near by the hotel for 3 days. Moreover, breakfast was chaos! Packed with people and bad service with very bad coffee. Will choose better next time.

35 minutes checkin (no one in line). This is not a 5 star hotel worthy. Beds are very hard - woke many times in the night. Reconstruction on floor above starting at 8:00 with drilling - and a “good morning to you too!” 25 minutes check out. Nice view from the hotel top floor. Good location. Poor service in making both booked rooms be in near vicinity (family) 5th and 7th floor. Breakfast is good and a nice restaurant at 8th floor. I’m mixed, so I don’t see this as a 5 star hotel, cause then I wouldn’t be mixed.

I’ve stayed at several properties over the years visiting Greece. Typically we stay at the intercontinental and I base my review on the comparison between the two places 1. Check in was a madhouse - seems like all the travel agencies must use this particular hotel. we arrived at 1 pm and left our luggage came back at 315 to be told we had to wait another 30 minutes for the rooms to be cleaned - Once in room it was decent but level of clean was on par with a 3-4 star hotel. Carpet was visibly stained, shower had mildew , room was dated 2. Left early second day returned at 345 pm after 6 hours away and room wasn’t cleaned. Called to speak with someone and was told I’d get a call back. Nothing- my opinion they care more about flipping the rooms to get in the new people and put the current guests on back burner ( lady came at 5 pm to clean and had to tell her to leave since kids sleeping 3. Pool upstairs 8th floor - 2 pools upstairs. Beautiful area but again was completely packed with people Not the most comfortable situation - if coming for the pool I’d avoid June-Aug 4 area - typical neighborhood in Athens. Within walking distance to sites and restaurants 5. 8th floor dining area /bar nice not crowded Staff - check in staff friendly Cleaning crew - under staffed For the price I’d stay at the intercontinental, less people and better overall service. The Grand Hyatt might be better in the off season. I gave it a chance but fell short

Overall good But we were mis sold on the pool as it had very limited access esp for kids. And the system was very badly managed. Very disappointed. Staff at the pool were rude Not great if you’re traveling with kids This spoilt our experience of the hotel But reception staff etc were amazing

I don't normally leave reviews but thought I had to because I was disappointed in this 5 star hotel. First of all, the staff and people that work there are lovely. However they are clearly understaffed, particularly in the checkin & reception area. I was also disappointed with the execution. Pools don't open till 10:30am so you can't go for an early swim. We requested a crib which was brought to the room without bedding, then when we requested bedding (and went out for dinner), they removed the crib!? Also the mini-fridge in our room didn't work and wasn't fixed when reported. As a result, our baby food spoiled. So overall it was a disappointing time considering we had such high hopes.
