Metropolis Hotel

This hotel requires an update and the rooms are tiny even for a European city, which was particularly challenging in the shower with kids since it sprayed all over. That said, the staff was super nice and helpful and the location is right in the center of everything. Keep in mind that it can be loud late in the room because of that.

The 2 stars is 1 for location - it was located in a very convenient area. It made walking to restaurants and shops easy. The second star is for a friendly associate in the entry of the hotel. The room itself was dirty - mold on the extremely small shower's shower curtain. Mold on the grout in the shower and ants all over the room. The shower was so small that it was impossible to shower without getting the entire room wet. It was impossible to get any sleep, as other guests were extremely loud and rude - slamming doors, talking extremely loud in the halls until the early morning hours. The room was impossibly small and made it hard for my family to walk around. Would never stay here again and hopefully I will save another family from wasting their money at this hotel.

I especially like the older gentleman at the front desk. He was kind and made our family of four feel very welcome on arrival and departure. The hotel was in a fantastic location. We walked everywhere and had a wonderful visit. One of the best parts is the air conditioner work to really well at night so we got a great night sleep. The beds are very comfortable.

The hotel is in a perfect downtown location. The hotel is family owned and very well managed. We highly recommend!

What a little gem! As a family of 4, we had a room with 2 double beds. Space was tight in the room, but we had the most amazing balcony space! It was about the same size as the room, and it overlooked the acropolis! Such a great location. We walked everywhere in the downtown area, including to the acropolis. The staff were so kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a standard place to crash in Athens for a couple of nights!

It’s a small 2 star hotel, with the basics , perfect for travelers that are always on the go during the day , at night we went to the roof top and enjoy the views and relax, the lady working the breakfast in the morning at the rooftop is amazing person , so very nice, but overall, everyone it’s so nice and accommodating, definitely going back and staying at this hotel, fyi, make sure to book at least the family double room , the simple double is very small , I learned by making that mistake on my second stay , however , the hotel personnel are amazing .

I have stayed at this Hotel on two occasions now. The staff are consistently friendly kind and engaging. It has a family feel and you are made most welcome. I would highly recommend. I stay in many hotels with my job and for the price point it’s amazing value. I would highly suggest the rooftop for breakfast the view is amazing.
