My kids love the rooms and the location is so convenient.

We had the family suite, which was amazing and spacious. This was a great fir for our semi-autonomous 6 and 11 year olds, offering them space and us some privacy. Great hotel, room configuration, and service.

We staid for just a night on our way back to the UK - the property seemed average compared to our stay at Hilton Prague. Being old town and weekend, the surrounding area was not particularly clean and seeing many people with drinks etc. in the morning on the street by the river wasn't particularly pleasing; would probably not recommend for stay with family.

The hotel offered the very best experience for my family. We stayed 16 days—the whole staff was the epitome of true professionals especially Stefan, Ratna, Maria, David, Stella & others in the restaurant; not to forget the chefs, who work behind the scenes to create nutritious food, Carl & his house-keeping team ensured our room was very well maintained; the front desk (too many to name) went above & beyond daily—everyone made an effort too recognize us daily & ask if there was anything they could do to make the day better. It was an extraordinary stay & we felt like family. We plan to return again & know that it’s the best hotel in Köln, Germany. We want to give one additional shout-out to Stefan, who from the first day to our last made each morning breakfast a personal experience. Stefan is very humble; after we eaten, he would ask if we have plans for the day; if not he gave us suggestions. We will miss him! The rest of his staff, on our last day there came to wish us well on our return.

First of all, the staff was really friendly and helpful so no complaints there. However, because of the cancellation caused by a wrong booking on my part, the correct booking got messed up between Expedia and the hotel. All the emails I received from Expedia did show the correct dates and booking conditions, however, at arrival I was told one of the rooms was not booked and I didn't have breakfast included to which I showed them my emails form Expedia proving otherwise. So the nice lady at the reception helped me correct all the errors and gave us our rooms. But......at checkout, when authorising payments for the city taxes, I was again charged for the breakfast which should have been included in my room rates, lucky I saw that as I normally don't ask for a printed receipt. Again a helpful lady at the front desk helped me clear the charges, nevertheless, it's been a tedious process and should not have happened and if I was not being so careful I might have been charged more than 80 euros extra for one night just for the breakfast. Another issue I did find was that the family rooms were on a street at what seems to be the rear of the building and across that street there is a large waste disposal area of the building on top and it seems that the containers are being emptied very early in the mornings (6 ~ 7am) which was very noisy and woke us all up.
