AMERON Neuschwanstein Alpsee Resort & Spa

Perfectly placed for a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. Excellent check in and service, lovely modern hotel. We requested extra water for the room and it arrived immediately. Parking available but not ideal, narrow steep entrance a short walk from reception. Breakfast was good, small but varied buffet and eggs cooked to order. We ate in the Lisl restaurant, the food was excellent but service was haphazard and a little rushed. The evening was spoilt by a very unruly child, perhaps an adults only fine dining experience should be considered. Some beauty products in the bathroom would be nice and replenishment of tissue box which was not done during our stay. The spa pool is not heated as we would usually expect and there is no laundry service in the hotel but still an excellent 2 night stay. A tip re the castle: Give the interior tour a miss! It's overpriced rushed and staff are miserable !

O.M.G. this is the place. When they talk about location, you will never find a better location for visiting these castles. The staff where friendly and courteous, at all times. We ate in the dinning restaurant and the quality of the food was fantastic, sides a bit small, but tasty food nonetheless. Our room was large and spacious and cleaned everyday. 99% perfect. The 1% was we had a car with a disability tag, which we parked outside reception therefore not using the car park. The final bill included a surcharge for the car park, which was noted by the wife, so i had to go back and query it. They refunded the charge promptly to their credit. But without doubt i will be recommending this hotel to all friends and family, hopefully i will be back someday.

It was unforgettable stay! We received upgrade to a junior room. It was gorgeous room like in palace. I only suggest to add minibar to this room.

Spas being textile free was unexpected and unfortunate. We were vacationing with family and did not feel comfortable sans clothing. It would have been nice to have a spa option with clothing or at least allowing cover up with towel.
