First off let me start by saying that my fiancee and I had a wonderful time here. Salon is a cute and quiet French town with great shopping. The owner speaks wonderful English if you cannot speak French and is always so inviting and welcoming. She truly cares about her property and you can tell she is ready to help you with anything from the train schedules to the best places to eat in town. The hotel has a real bed and breakfast feel, but is large considering the size of the town. We slept like babies and were always happy waking up and going into town. Salon De Provence serves as a really good "home base" location to see surrounding towns such as Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Mirimas, Arles, etc. A brand new grocery store called huit a huit (open 8am to 8pm) just opened ten steps from the hotel as well so you can stock up on drinks and food. Overall just a really good place to stay with a great owner.
