OKKO Hotels Lille Centre

- Location was great, but it’s not something unique to this hotel as there are a lot of hotels in the area. - AC issue: when I called to say it was too warm in the room and to ask how to turn on the AC, I was told it was deactivated as we were in October. When we got to the room the heating was on, despite 22 degrees outside (!!). Person at the reception basically said they had no solution, it’s normal practice to turn it off in October - well, it has been warm all October, so I didn’t get why the heating was on. We opened the window and woke up the next day covered by mosquito bites. In addition, the smell coming from outside was strong and horrible but at least we could get fresh air. -bathroom? There is no separation (no wall or door) between the bathroom and the room so you basically see/ hear everything happening there. Not ideal if you travel with a friend or a family member other than your partner. - dust: under the bed. Unacceptable. Overall, I think this shouldn’t be ranked as a 4star hotel. Paying a high price to roast in a room because staff can’t activate the AC is ridiculous. There is nothing so special about this hotel and I’m highly unsatisfied on how we were treated. Running into issues happens, but if your staff is not trying to help or if you try to save some money by not letting your customers having access to the AC, this is something else. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and I will not come back to any of the OKKO hotels.
