ibis budget Mulhouse Centre Gare

It is very close to Central Gare. ( Walking just 2 minutes ) We have stayed my wife and my kid. It is so good to do daily tours around cities. Basel, Freiburg, Colmar etc. The room is clean, workers are friendly, breakfast is enough good. The room is 13 m2 but it is not problem for us. Because İbis offer good value. The positives are: it is within a five minute walk from the Mulhouse Train Station and the staff is nice. BUT the condition of the hotel is the worst I have stayed at. I booked 2 triple rooms for 2 nights. We were given the rooms overlooking the train tracks on the 2nd floor. As soon as you enter the 2nd floor, you see the carpet soaked in stain. There is a stench. When we entered our room, we were shocked by the state of our room: the curtains were not hung properly but instead were stuck to the window so it will not fall - essentially, you cannot open the window to let out the bad smell because the curtains would fall, the toiler paper holder was broken and was fixed with a black tape, the bottom of the elevated shower was broken that my kids were afraid that bugs would crawl out. We could hardly sleep because of the noise of the train, and there is something in the air of the room that made me and my kids constantly sneeze. I know that the place was inexpensive. So i did not expect first class accommodation. What we expected was something clean. That we did not get. We will never return to this place.

From the first night i have waited outside for about 10 min with my 10 years old and 4 yearsold kids, waiting for the guy from the reception to come with the key to open the outside door. The parking big problems is that every time you need to go personally to validate your tiket when you going out. Not on the hotel, you need to go on first floor -1 on the parking desk. One time i have spend 45 min. To go away from the parkink with 2 kids in the car becouse the guy from the parking was not on his desk. But the Fault is from IBIS. Once parked you need to let the tiket to the reception and they will do it for you and when you want to go the reception gives you back the tiket validated for you to get out from parking. But in 3 days only the first time was like this. Let say that you go and out 3 times/day, how much time you lose to validate the tiket? Imagine that from the MUSSE EXIT that is the nearest exit for IBIS ENTRANCE are 500 metres thru parking to parking desk. All this and many small things...many...many...make me to dont chose another time this brand of hotel. Thx. Sorry for my english.
