Château du Colombier

We are a family of 4 adults and we celebrated my daughter's 33rd Birthday at this stunning Chateau. We had the Superior and Luxury Suites, which overlook the stunning grounds. The staff were beyond welcoming, friendly and helpful. Karen ? ( and her husband who is also the chef sorry I cannot remember their names but this couple are both gems ) made our stay a celebration. The food was excellent and we did not consider it too pricey - for what you got! We even got a small Birthday Cake which was to die for! There is ample free parking and its very close to many sites, including Mt.Saint Michel. We will go back to Chateau du Colombier in a heartbeat. I totlally recommend this fairy tale palace. It really is such a treat!

We spent a night here in early June - during a heatwave so the one overwhelming impression was the heat - even with our windows wide open it was too hot to sleep well. Other than that, a lovely hotel with a small staff working very hard indeed to keep us happy. Splendid gardens and a very relaxed feel. Quite hard to find but once we arrived it had a feeling of having stepped back in time. Seemed like a very family-friendly place.
