My family and I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff is very friendly and made us feel right at home. We were first greeted by Santiago who was very helpful with our entire stay in Egypt. From organizing tours to organizing car trips for us. The view from the rooftop restaurant is to die for. The staff at the restaurant were even better. Alibaba was always waiting for us with fresh Orange juice and was so friendly every morning of our stay. I highly recommended this hotel for your stay at Giza, they have everything you need for your stay.

The location is fantastic as it's right across the street from the pyramids and Sphinx. The problem for me is that the moment you step out of the hotel you get bombarded with people trying to sell you things. Some are so persistent it annoying. I understand that Egypt is a poor country and that the citizens are trying to make money, but the constant invasion of personal space by folks trying to sell you things or otherwise get money from you makes me want to stay elsewhere when I return, and it makes me very hesitant to recommend my family and friends to travel to Egypt.

Excellent hotel for a visit to Giza. The restaurant was very good and the view was amazing - the dinning menu had good options and the mushroom soup was a great choice. Appetizers were more like pub food but the main courses excellent. The room was fantastic and clean- we had the junior suite. It had the view of the pyramids. Our driver Ali who picked us up at the airport to bring us to the hotel was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. This can be a challenging area to visit as everyone is looking to get you to buy something. Ali was helpful throughout our visit to guide us and help us feel safe.

When we decided we were going back to Egypt again we knew one thing for sure and that was we were going to book at the Great Pyramid Inn again. After 2 years to still have the people that work there remember you says something about this place. A driver was waiting for us at arrivals at the Cairo airports. We checked in at 3:00AM and it went smooth. We booked a balcony room overlooking the pyramids and they put us in the same room as 2 years ago. The room was very clean and updated with plenty of outlets for charging various electronics. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner on the rooftop terrace every night and there was always a great selection with good prices. We booked all of our tours through the hotel with Dina and were very happy with all of them. This hotel is booked for the view but it's the staff that makes it worth staying at. It was so great after 2 years to see Ali, Ali Baba and Dina again. I wish we could remember everyone's name because everyone there treated us like family. There are some complaints in the reviews that the hotel can't do anything about. There will be dogs barking throughout the night. It's like that all over Cairo and it's hardly the hotels fault. If we ever make it back to Cairo we know where we will be staying.

The view is incredible but the staff made our trip! So helpful and went the extra mile for our kids. Also the restaurant staff treated us like family and set us up with the best table for the light show and dinner. I highly recommend especially if you want the best views of the pyramids.

We stayed 5 days at the Great Pyramid Inn and it made our stay in Egypt so memorable! Manaa and Ali Baba were the best! we felt like we were with family. Manaa went above and beyond to make me and my family feel safe and comfortable. He made me sure that he would take care of us and keep us satisfied. They were such honest and kind people. Not only was the staff so amazing, the view of the pyramids was unbelievable! If you see Manaa and Ali Baba please give them a big hug and thank them for the amazing experience they gave my family and I!!!

This place is really nice and has a great view of the pyramid and the sphinx. I also stayed at the mena house Marriott and this hotel has a better view of the pyramids than the the mena house. I regret not staying there for my entirety of the stay. The service was outstanding they were there at two in the morning as I checked in got my rooms in fast help me into my room and the next morning they had a Buffet breakfast that’s included. The food was plenty and great even my small children enjoyed the breakfast. The breakfast is served at a rooftop restaurant that has an amazing view of the pyramids. The beds were awesome very big and the ones we chose and that was a big plus for us. This place is also located right in front of the entrance to the pyramids and to the light and sound show, you could also just view it from the rooftop at night time it’s great.

Property was excellent. It was disappointing that AliBaba from the restaurant made a dinner reservation for our last night (he is wonderful and charming), we asked for a specific table and were there at 7:30 sharp but our table was not reserved. There was another family there, the person in charge said he was sorry but they arrived first. What??!!!! Total disappointment. We got seated at a table on the middle terrace in the back. I was so upset I went back to my room, they messed up our whole night. We had the view to the pyramid show from the room, the whole point was the last night dinner with the view. The hotel has to speak to its employees and explain what reservations are for. Other than that, cute hotel, clean, reception is great, the plus is obviously the view.

This property is very near to the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and several other major attractions around Giza. The hotel is clean and staffed with very friendly people who go out of their way to ensure you have a great trip. The restaurant upstairs serves great food, and Ali-Baba is a fantastic host! The best parts of the property are the proximity to the Pyramids and the Sphinx, which, if you spring for the pyramid view room, allows for the nightly watching of the light and sound show. The area is local, with several small, private shops lining the streets, and a heavy police presence, so, other than the usual persistent salesmen, it is safe to walk around. Some considerations are that the area is very rural, so you will be limited to eating only at the hotel, or ordering from the Pizza Hut nearby, as they are the only two food options in the area- no other delivery. Also, I worked with the hotel tour company and while I want to stress that the tour guides themselves were great, the ‘tour lead’ who handled scheduling and tour coordination, botched several of our tours, left us at the airport after we returned from our day tour to Luxor, and immediately and consistently pushed more and more tours. Ultimately, my family and I checked out three days early and transferred to a hotel in downtown Cairo, where we were able to find more dining and entertainment options, but overall, we really enjoyed our time at this property. Again, shop around for tour options.
