After traveling with 3 years old baby in middle of the night and arrive to the hotel around 12.00 p.m. and you can get your room 16.00. We asked because we were so tired to have it sooner, well no you need to pay for those extra 3-4 hours around 106 euros and you have 3 years old baby, we ask can you store our luggage, yes that cost also so we ended to pay the room. We need to order the breakfast before 11.00 pm for next day all the days we were staying there, also we need to order cleaning, no one came to clean because I just asked for towels, after 2 days I asked the girl could please give us towels and take our dirty glasses and vacu the snack on the floor that our little girl missed on the floor no one came to clean, but gave us the towels though :) I would never reccomend this hotel and the breakfast caos was crazy.

First the good: the location is excellent. Not far from the central train station and along the waterfront. The breakfast which was included was excellent. The bathroom was nice and the shower products smelled great. The bad: the light system was too complicated to work and it drove us nuts, the "black out shades" didn't actually go all the way across the windows so light hit you in the face, the room was super hot and when my husband asked at the front desk, they told him it was a central system (i.e. you don't have control over the temperature). Worst of all was sound-proofing. Screaming and running children late into the night above our room and in the hallways made sleep impossible. Finally, the room was ridiculously small. We had a standard king and we couldn't both open our suitcases. The room was hot, loud, small, and not what we wanted or needed for the start of our vacation. I know it wasn't a five star hotel, but it was shockingly shabby.

The Scandic Spectrum hotel is massive, and check-in was easy. The lady at the front desk wasn't so welcoming. To be fair, she was dealing with a demanding customer before me. All other front desk and breakfast staff were pleasant and nice. Scheduling Breakfast is necessary due to the size of the hotel. They have a great breakfast space and large selection of breakfast food. Breakfast consist of scrambled eggs (on the wet side), hard boiled eggs, bacon, salami, cheeses, all sorts of breads, crossiants, crepes, make your own waffles machine. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, perfectly located in Copenhagen.
The most disappointing part of our stay was the pool closure during our entire stay. This was one of the amenities my family was looking forward to. Rooms do not come with a fridge and Parking wasn't cheap costing us usd$40/day.

Very family friendly hotel located in a nice area. Offered the children welcome mocktails and popcorn. The bar on the 6th floor was fantastic with great views.
Loved that it was across the street from the canal. Very convenient walk to all modes of transportation. The staff was very friendly the breakfast delicious.

I researched the property before booking and did not see anything that clearly suggested to me that the swimming pool was only available to people over 16 and older for a fee. To the contrary, your website tout being child-friendly. My children, ages 5 and 7, were quite disappointed that they could not swim.

Deceptive pool photos. Pool is an extra charge and is mostly NOT available for kids.
Check in was chaotic.
Family room was uninspired and a bit depressing

The hotel made a good impression on the first day. The staff is friendly, the beds and chairs are comfortable, bathroom is big and clean. However, there are issues with the cleaning service on the following days. They only change the towels and don't sweep the floor at all. We stayed for six days with a toddler, so a proper cleaning service is really necessary.
Another problem is the booking system for breakfast. I've never seen anything like this in my life. You have to book a specific time every day for breakfast, which is not comfortable as it forces you to stick to a schedule. When you’re on a family trip, you want the flexibility to have breakfast whenever you want. Even with a booking, the place is very crowded, with long lines just to get a coffee. If you want to avoid the crowds, you have to book for 6:30 AM.
And for Coke lovers, this is not your hotel—they only have Pepsi.

This was a great hotel. Its location on the harbour, but only a 15 minute walk from the centre is perfect.
The staff were friendly, and the facilities were good. We loved the rooftop terrace.
It was lacking a decent shop, but essentials were available to buy in reception.
My only criticism was the lack of availability of the pool for children. There were sessions available at the weekends for families, but you had to book an entire spa session at about £30! We just wanted to go in the pool!
Luckily we found a public swimming pool only a 15 minute walk away.

While I’d overall consider this hotel as reasonable considering what we paid, we experienced quite a few issues that would prevent me from booking here again:
• Long waits at the reception desk with some staff greeting you with a smile and others with a much colder response.
• The water from the shower in one of our rooms wasn’t draining properly so we called to get it fixed. Got fixed but the repair person left behind some items and not sure what they used but it had a horrible stench that lasted 48 hours.
• Breakfast is chaotic when it’s busy. Booking breakfast in advance requires you to pick time slots which disappear when no tables are left; I’m not convinced that this is a workable solution to stem the flow. Queues for coffee machines seemed typical and it didn’t help when a machine was out of order. Breakfast selection could also do with featuring a larger selection of local Danish pastries.
• Not pleased with paying to use the swimming pool with kids and to have luggage stored pre-/post- check in/out
