Didn’t feel like a hotel. Felt like a hostel. Had to pay to store my luggage and move it myself. Had to make a reservation for an included breakfast. Not what I was expecting based on the cost of a junior suite.

Very convenient for train station and buses. Spacious family room and comfortable beds (though very thin pillows). Food in the restaurant was good, and there were high chairs available if needed. However menu was quite limited - steaks, burgers, or the daily fixed menu. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of sweet and savoury foods. We enjoyed making our own waffles and there was a selection of fruit available. Would stay again.

The Scandic Copenhagen is ideally located in walking distance to the city centre and attractions.
Our room was clean and tidy with excellent views over the lake and city.
Breakfast was included and as I love a full english I tried their attempts at this, sadly what they provided was sub par, some of it undercooked but the continental style breakfast was quite good.
All the staff were friendly, some more than others, but no issues and a pleasnt experience.
My one concern is personal, we had a suite as a family of 3 and in our room the bathroom door was glass which had large gaps around and was opaque. I dont think im alone and expecting some privacy when using the toilet which was situated right next to the door. Just put a proper door on it .

The Scandic was exactly what we were looking for when having a 6 day break in Copenhagen with our 2 year old son.
For the length of the stay we thought we would go that it extra and take a junior suite to have the additional space. It worked out very nicely. Frankly, I didn't expect to go to Copenhagen for the beautiful sunsets but from the 9th floor overlooking the lakes there were some spectacular scenes!
For us the hotel is perfectly situated. Just a little away from the city centre bustle but close enough to walk anywhere easily including the central station and Tivoli gardens (less than 10 minutes) and even to the zoo and many main Copenhagen features if you don't mind a bit if exercise.
Great staff, service, breakfast and overall impression. We have stayed on Copenhagen before, I shopped around and while nowhere is cheap in Copenhagen I found the Scandic Copenhagen to represent the best value for money for our purposes.
Yes, it's a large hotel that can often hold conferences or corporate events but I didn't feel that detracted from the service. I've also read the reviews beforehand of people complaining about having to book breakfast and housekeeping...That's the hotel being efficient and environmentally friendly and these people are being pedantic as it's actually a good way to run these elements.
The SC is of course not perfect for everyone, but we were very happy staying there, writing a favourable review, and will certainly book there again when we return.

Nice hotel in a good location, close to Tivoli and 10 min walk to central area but still needed to get subway to other areas. Nice breakfast and rooms do the job, shame no pool or entertainment for kids.

Scandic Copenhagen is a great choice for all types of travellers. It's close to a Copenhagen centre and amenities but I'd strongly recommend to families given the close proximity to The Tivoli Gardens (about 5 mins walk). We stayed at a junior suite; possibly the biggest and cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed. The beds were comfortable and a bathroom was spotless. Breakfast is served in a buffet style, you're spoiled with a choice but our favourite were pancaker makers. I'd warmly recommend Scandic Copenhage hotel.

We always stay at the Scandic when we visit family in Copenhagen and have never been disappointed! The hotel
staff are friendly and helpful, the room is a good size, clean and comfy. Breakfast is great. The hotels location means all parts of the city are easily accessible. Compared to other hotels in the city the Scandic offers really good values for money. We will definitely use the hotel again

Huge hotel, very busy with hundreds of people staying at the same time, you get to see how busy it is at breakfast time.
Breakfast has a lot of variation, but after staying for 5 days it does become limited.
Connections to the rest of the city are excellent, so it's a great place to stay at if you intend on doing a lot of site seeing.
Our room was okay, but the bathroom was in desperate need of a deep clean (blocked sink and bath / shower cubicle).
The staff were mixed, some were helpful, others were useless. Take their recommendations for family—friendly restaurants with a pinch of salt, both times they weren't at all family friendly.
All in all, it served its purpose, but I doubt we'd stay there again.

A small room with single chair and no tissue paper available is not suitable for three persons of a family. It just provides a place for sleeping with a simple shower unit. The phone set is broken, too. The good thing is that the staff are kind. Overall, it's not worth it.
