Great property which is close to the port and city.
pools and beach access was easy. Recommend this place to families, since children will enjoy the pools.

Looked much better on the internet than in real life. We stayed here in a suite during late summer 2023. We had high hopes but were severely disappointed.
Pros: 1. Location - ten-minute stroll to the vibrant waterfront / dock area of Hvar. 2. Easy to use wifi (when it worked). 3. Decent (not great) breakfast buffet,
Negatives:
1. Dysfunctional rooms with very little storage or shelf space, both in the room and in the bathroom. Our junior suite was smaller than the regular room we’d had at another hotel in Dubrovnik.
2. Old, outdated rooms. Our suite had filthy carpeting, a wobbly couch with stains all over it.
3. Everything seems to cut corners. They leave only 2 bath towels (tiny and so thin that they barely dry a person after a bath or shower) and 2 hand towels. This is not expected for a luxury hotel. Also, they don’t leave you with extra anything (toilet paper, tissues) in the room. So you’d better hope you don’t run out.
4. Service - they just don’t seem happy to work here and it shows. Many of the people (breakfast buffet) are efficient but not customer-friendly.
5. Bedding is hard and not enough pillows or blankets.
6. Cleanliness - there was a dirty band-aid on our floor when we checked in. Gross.
7. Sporadic wifi.
8. Crowded pool - can’t even get in/our of a lounge chair from the side - must climb in from the foot because they are all wedged together.
We’d go back to Hvar, but NOT this hotel.

Excellent location for 1st timers to Hvar. Pool was very crowded with children & teens. Went to Hvar Beach Club. Not part of the hotel, but just in front. $$$$ but .... treat yourself. Junior Suite. We were on level 3. Reception Level. Roomy but not worth the extra $$$. Nearly $1,000 AUD pn, with breakfast and dinner. Pretty sea view though. 😍

We had a lovely time at this hotel. It felt a little bit like a cruise ship as it is rather large and sprawling. pool area was very nice and it was always easy to get chairs. The
breakfast was delicious. It was a lovely stroll into town. The property felt very safe. It was filled with families and it’s a good place for children.

Property is beautiful. Stayed with my family if 4 across 2 rooms.
Great pool. Be prepared to WALK allot. The way the hotel is laid out the elevators are not very helpful. Again, you will walk and walk.
Look for the. Shuttle bus when you exit the ferry/ they will take your bags but you will need to make the walk up the hill.
Pool was great. Rooms a bit old but nice size. I couldn’t understand the shower and sink. Impossibly to shower or shave without flooding the bathroom. Very strange.
Awesome terrace seating area off the bar. God food.
Wonderful view.
Excellent service poolside.
Be sure to rent the standup paddle boards in the Adriatic in front of the resort.
13 min walk downhill to town. Coming back is uphill.
I hope to go back next year.

We had a great time at the Amfora. It was an easy walk into town, super clean, very comfy beds and rooms. We had a Superior Room with seaview and must have had one of the best views in the whole hotel. However, other people we spoke to were not so lucky and their room overlooked a building site. So just check what room you are getting. The pool was great, but rather too many children - it would have been nice to have had an "Adults Only" hour a day! Food was nice. We would definitely stay again!

Our room was a lovely junior suit with an amazing view out into the bay. Very spacious with lots of room for clothes and suitcases. The pool was great but a little chilly so the only way to get used to it was to dunk yourself from the waterslide.
Easy access to the beach and town and an amazing view of a thunderstorm one of the nights. Breakfast buffet was lovely but the dinner one wasn't amazing
