Tesla's Gastro House Plitvice

Hosts amazing, view amazing, food amazing! The kids said “this place is magical”!

This is an absolutely beautiful small hotel located in a scenic valley between forested mountains just 10 minutes from Plitvicke National Park. Modern, clean, well-designed. The host and hostess were welcoming and very friendly. Food was excellent - both the breakfast and the amazing 4-course dinner prepared by the hostess, a mix of Croatian specialties. A quiet countryside location that adults will like, but plenty of room for kids to run around. You definitely need a car to come and go, but that's true for most of the places in this region of Croatia.

Of all of the places we stayed in our two week trip throughout Croatia, this place was by far the most special. The landscape/scenery is surreal and peaceful. You can barely hear any cars or noises other than the wind coming off the mountains and beautiful nature. Humming birds fly around bushes of flowers and fruit gardens. Rocking chairs and hammocks are scattered throughout the yard for r&r and reading a good book. The meals are five star, four course, and home made with fresh local ingredients. All for very reasonable and low costs. The owners made the stay extra special. Lovely family operated by mother and father. Also, all of the people staying there are interesting, fun, and respectful. Couldn’t recommend this place any higher! An absolute gem.

The property is perfect, but the warmth and welcoming nature of the owner / hostess is what makes this stand apart. She ensures every little detail is looked after, from packed to-go breakfasts to delicious home cooked dinners. Our family of 4 loved this place.
