Hotel Casa Roland Golfito Resort

In overall is a nice place. Has good amenities and the rooms are very comfortable. A few things could be improved like: There was REALLY BAD WiFi signal from the rooms in the lower ground floor. Something like this could be fixed with a repeater. The restaurant took around 30 minutes to deliver us dinner. Then 10 minutes to take our bill. Food was good but very slow service. In overall, my family enjoyed and will probably be back when staying in town. Those two little details didn't matter much but could be improved so the service is 10/10

Everything was fine: nothing exceptional one way or another. The breakfast was great the day we arrived at 7 am but the day we showed up at 9, nothing had been replenished, food was cold etc. The staff at the restaurant soent more time socializing than busing tables or serving. The room was cleanz the beds were comfortable but the photos are deceiving - all the rooms with two beds are downstairs, which has 7 foot ceilings and zero natural light. My kids called the hallway the dungeon. There are some nice common areas throughout but nothing is used. There is a bar area in the basement that is reminiscent of some scene from The Shining. On check in the tv didn't work, we had no hot water and the fridge didn't work but maintenance staff were fadt and efficient, got everything working well. Overall, it's a nice spot but the hype sets the bar too high.

More suitable for families since pool was full of kids

This place seems strange from the beginning when I checked in, the place was big and empty. Seems that the only way they can stay in business is by running drugs, the few people that were there looked like they were in on it. But, it is a cool place and my kids loved the pool.

Only bad thing was the bar service. Prepare to wait a long time. Also, they let the local kids to the pool unsupervised. They were throwing shirts, towels in the pool and wrestling for three hours while no one from the staff said a thing.
