The good: multiple pools and location of the hotel. The bad: The rooms around us were under renovation and big parts of the facility felt like a construction site. The fact that there are two facilities, one across the street from the other is not convenient, especially when the pools are in one side of the street and the towels are on another side. Despite the safety guard, we didn't feel comfortable having our kids cross the street by themselves so we had to walk with them every time. Almost every day something was missing: one day - no towels in the room. Another day - No toilet paper. People were roaming in the halls, shouting at 10pm and 11pm. Finally, the common areas, the halls, the lobby, are super slippery. Given the heavy rain it felt like a safety hazard. We've seen dozens of people almost slipping and we had our share of almost slipping multiple times a day. Didn't feel like the staff cared about any of this. Definitely not a good experience.

This property is right in the middle of all of the tourist area. If you’re looking for something a little more low-key, this is not it. The hotel is very private, and quiet if you stay in the family side. In the main hotel, it can be loud and busy pretty much all day. Food options are all within walking distance, but if you want something more authentic, this is not the place to stay.

Our stay started well. The front desk Katherine, Irene, and the gentlemen I can't remember his name glasses and curly hair were all wonderful to work with, they accommodated and worked with us to the best of their ability. The hotel did lose power quickly so would recommend if coming during the rainy season to pack a battery pack and flashlight. I was told that this happens at times in Costa Rica. We didn't have hot water in our room for two days and the hotel was willing to move us, but we winded up cutting our trip short because our child became sick and felt it was best to come back to the USA. The view was beautiful and the ocean waves are so loud it's a natural sound machine and easy to sleep. We had a storm and a lot of rain and the hotel had a few issues with the roof and leaks in hallways, as well as areas that were quite slippery, pool chairs, and cushions are dirty and in need of replacement. The staff was again wonderful, but the hotel manager, board, or owner, whoever is in charge of allocating funds needs to invest in updating and maintaining the property. Without the staff I am not sure the hotel would be doing so well. Also don't bother getting seats on the beach so many solicitors every 10 seconds someone is asking if you want to buy something even if you are reading or sleeping. Just stay up at the hotel chairs. Beautiful Views. Centralized location, a lot in walking distance and safe to walk.

When we arrived, the front desk said my reservation did not include a child, so they had to move us from our reserved room to one a quarter mile away across the street and a good 10min walk and multiple staircases away. They literally put us at the furthest room possible on the upper floor at the extreme far end of the property across the street near construction going on in the parking lot. No apologies for error on the reservation, no discount, no smiles. The female manager handling that change was not super welcoming or friendly. Room was decent. Otherwise we enjoyed the pool, restaurant, welcome drinks, and breakfast. We also rented a surfboard one day from the booth right by the pool and Gaston was super nice and chill and helpful.

Enjoyed our stay. Pleasantly surprised to enjoy the rooms across from the beach lodging. More privacy and family pool was wonderful. Not too crowded and close to swim up bar. Breakfast was wonderful and day at the beach was relaxing.

Amazing location for a tropical resort vacation. Lots of energy and buzzy tourist vibe in only the best way. The hotel offers waterfront rooms, and open air amenities everywhere you turn. It was perfect. Staff, especially at the guided tours counter were exceptional and showed such warm interest in us and our experience. We felt like family! We definitely will return!

We have stayed at this property eight times since 2013 The only reason our timers interrupted was due to covid and having a child. We absolutely love this resort. It is a perfect location. Everyone is friendly. The pools are amazing and if you have children it's even better!

Wonderful place, nice views, great for families as hotel offers different pools and spaces, you may want to skip the online check in as it was useless as I had to go through the process again once at the property.
