Hotel Lomas del Volcán

Great staff, very friendly. superb customer service. Great facility, kids friendly.

This property is absolutely amazing! Out of the path yet 4 minutes drive from Fortuna (Uber is $3.50). We could have not asked for more. Bungalows are beautiful and clean, very large shower and a small balcony facing tropical lush gardens in the back with birds all around and a small patio with table and chairs in the front. The view of the volcano is spectacular and breakfast in the morning is a delight with views and monkeys sitting on branches. They have a small spa and the yoga class was very good too. If you are looking for a party place, go somewhere else. People at this hotel are having fun but they enjoy the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. We did everything on our own as most attractions are 10 to 15 minutes away: volcano trails, hot springs, Natura Park, Rio Danta for sloth watching (we saw a mom and baby there, for free:) We had such a great week and employees working there are very respectful and attentive. The hotel has a trail (a real trail in the forest) and we spent hours there, saw red pickers, yellow beek small toucan, other birds. We only did the Chocolate Tour with the hotel. Food was also excellent. If you are looking at saving money, you can eat in La Fortuna but if you want a nice service and great food, 1 restaurant and 2 bars on site have plenty of delicious plates. You can sip on great cocktails at the pool bar or order food there as well. Absolutely no regrets on our choice, this was our first time in Costa Rica and it was really Pura Vida!

Great view of Arenal Volcano especially in the restaurant area. Excellent breakfast- lots of food choices and excellent service. Community is family friendly. Close to town.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Lomas de Volcán. The grounds are lovely and the staff extremely helpful and accommodating. You feel as if you’re surrounded by the jungle and can watch beautiful birds and wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys in the trees. Highly recommend for adults or families with grade school aged children.

Awesome cabins and property! They have a great hiking trail that takes you into the rain forest. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Only downside is we felt like one of the only families here and a little out of place with the honeymooners. (no fault of the hotel).
