Such a wonderful property wow! The entire hotel is beautiful where do I start? The rooftop pool was so relaxing with delicious drinks and a remarkable view. The walk in shower/ tub was perfect for our romantic vacation. The private balcony was the perfect touch. They even brought me a little cake to celebrate my birthday. Would recommend for couples and families too!

The property has a lot to offer. Great for families since it has a lot of activities for the kids. However, the hotel needs to improve the maintenance. The showers in the room have mold, the light in the mirror was broken, tv wasn’t working and pillow cases smelled funny. Definitely, I won’t call it a 5 star hotel.

Great hotel, excellent staff with private beach and great rooftop pool without children’s and a lot of other pools for the kids in front of the beach.
The room was great, clean and beautiful.
We enjoyed our time there

Nothing special, poor breakfast variety and the staff makes you feel as criminal reminding you that you have to pay for everything, I invited my family to spend the day at the pool they told me that I have to pay for each person, I said ok please charge it to my room but their “policy” says that you have to pay immediately and it can’t be charged to your room, so I got to go to my room and get my wallet in order to pay “immediately” or my family couldn’t go further the lobby at torre Del Mar

Unfortunately we had a bad stay at the hotel and we would not be recommending it or staying there again. Since we arrived we had a/c problems where the air would not go lower than 25c. Everyday I called the front desk for help and for 3 days no one showed up because we weren’t in our room. Which we authorized permission every time to enter our room while we were out because we were exploring. One man came one night looked at it and said he couldn’t fix it. He’s come back next morning, to call again. Next day we call and authorize again someone to come in but luckily my husband was there. Guy went into ceiling saying he adjusted something and said it was fixed, it was not. Next day called again and nothing. Finally Thursday night this is 5th night and last night. No one fixed the air or cared, no manager called to check or assist. Thursday night we had an a/c noise at 1am again called for assistance and a gentleman came and fixed the noise but a/c was never fixed. Warm and humid. In addition a family of 4 had 2 towels when we checked in. The clerk who checked us in never advised us of property amenities or restaurants. I had to ask where we could eat and reconfirm breakfast was included. The hotel restaurant downstairs never has a new menu for lunch or dinner. In addition our tv was not changing channels and called for someone to come and no one came I was finally able to fix myself. At checkout, I again expressed all my disappointment and got a sorry. Last visit.

I had a very good time staying at Hotel Las Americas, very Beautiful hotel! My favorite thing was the “pools” , a lot of places to lounge and relax, right by the beach, free breakfast was great, a lot of palm trees, highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Cartagena. Especially families, 13-15 mins away from all main attractions. Taxis where always at the door ; The only thing I didn’t like (and this might be silly) but it was an inconvenience to me, there was no mirrors at the room a all, only in the bathroom, It was a little hard to get ready, no big deal .. but it was a big annoying

The Hotel is a few years old, but is still very new. The design is contemporary, with a central atrium with bridges to your room. It’s a neat design. Facilities are top notch. The main pool is huge, and there is a separate children’s pool for small children. There is an adults-only rooftop pool with bar. There are several more pools on at the adjacent hotel, which is part of the property as well.
Several restaurants to choose from, with excellent menus. Two separate breakfast buffet areas in the morning with abundant selections.
The beach has ample umbrellas and cabanas available for a nominal fee. There is drink service out to the beach area. A note about the beach: The beach in front of the hotel is a public beach. As such, there are a myriad of vendors hawking their wares. This can get very annoying. That coupled with the fact that city beaches are not the most scenic, kind of fail to impress. It is not the hotel’s fault. Instead, take a day tour to Isla Rosario. The excursion can be booked through the hotel (about $60 US, per person). It includes transportation to the pier, a boat trip to the island, and lunch. It is absolutely beautiful! Exactly what you would expect from a Caribbean beach. And it provides an exclusive, private beach resort feel, with plenty of Instagram able vistas, and scenery. Cannot recommend enough.
Completely satisfied. Would stay again, and would recommend.
