For a five star Hotel, St Regis Chengdu felt oddly least welcoming and comfortable.
Unlike St Regis in other cities, I do not feel welcomed at check in and missed the attentiveness of the Hotel preparing for my young child. Bathrobe, flip flop etc. When I am put up in the major brands, such attentiveness is never missed.
Even when I encountered an incident with a non~functioning room key during a rush, the front desk personnel was not the least apologetic and simply took his time to resolve the matter while leaving me in the lurch, wondering what really happen!
I have always held St Regis in the above Five star category, but I am rather disappointed by the service of St Regis in Chengdu.
