2 out of 5 stars

We booked two rooms. Traveled with my parents, a toddler and a baby. We arrived at 4:30pm, was told our room won’t be ready until 1 hour later when check in time was supposed to be 2:00pm. Bed was comfortable, most of the staffs were nice. The only beautiful part is the lobby, everything else seems dated. I didn’t enjoy my interactions with the front desk at all, checkin took forever and she didn’t seem to care about the situation at all with how long we have to wait for our room to be ready with old people and little kids. There are too many 5 stars nearby, I was very underwhelmed.

3 out of 5 stars

We booked a suite for us family of four and requested an foldable bed (since the sofa in the sitting room is not a sofa bed), none of the other hotels we stayed during our trip to China (W in Shanghai, Kinggang in Xi’an, etc) charged us but we were charged here and that being not even available the first night of our stay. Rooms were quite dated and all carpet, did not feel clean…

5 out of 5 stars

Great hotel at the heart of Beijing, a short walk from Wangfujing pedestrian area where you will find lots of shopping, numerous restaurants and two night food markets. The national art museum is 5 minutes walk from the hotel, Tiananmen Square, national museum and Forbidden city 20-25 minutes. The hotel itself is in a quite area and is brand new and boasts very impressive interior design. We came for a couple of nights and enjoyed every minute. We had a suite on the 11th floor that was very spacious and comfortable, with a separate living room, great bedroom and marble bathroom with separate bath and shower, two huge TVs and a Nespresso coffee machine. We enjoyed views of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Breakfast at the 1st floor dining room was great, with a good selection of Western and Chinese food, fresh fruit shakes and other goodies (we could have our breakfast in the executive lounge as well but we preferred the bigger selection in the main restaurant). The 17th floor lounge is also great and offers afternoon tea and happy hour. The basement-level pool is one of the best I've experienced. Service was great and attentive throughout, with the only gripe being a slightly too long wait for checkout (although it seemed that reception was exceptionally busy that day). All and all a wonderful hotel. It seems that it is pitched as a business hotel but in view of its location and comfort level it would be a great choice for a family vacation as well.

5 out of 5 stars

We stayed here for five days for a family vacation. The cool and calm of this elegant hotel was a relief after a day spent touring the bustling sites of the city. The buffets at the hotel restaurant were freshly prepared and had interesting selections. Ordering other items on menu tend to be slow so stick to the buffet.
