Alt Hotel Halifax Airport

The property is very poorly maintained. The blinds are very loud and touch waking us up in the night when other people would open or close the blinds. The pool was out of order which made for two very disappointed children. For the premium price, the facility did not live up to my expectations. The only bonus is its proximity to departures.

Clean and modern. Considering how modern the facility was, surprised how slow and unwieldy check in was. Staff was great but would have expected something more automated. That said... slept like a baby in a very quiet and comfortable room and bed after a quick and tasty dinner at Sosta. Perfect for a overnight stopover between flights.

I have stayed at this property before. It is very convenient if you are taking early morning flights. Small but utilitarian rooms. Modern and chic design. I would like to mention that the choice of diverter/water mixer in the shower is terrible. It is extremely hard to grip and adjust the flow of water especially if your hands are wet and soapy. The knob to adjust the water to foot faucet is sharp and I cut my finger open. There was a large gash on my right finger which is still bleeding after 12 hours. I spilled a drop of blood on the white sheet. I probably ruined the sheet and will lose my damage deposit. I should have called the reception for the bandaid but it was around midnight and my conscience didn't let me do that. I would highly recommend replacing the valves so that it can be gripped easily especially for the kids and the elderly. Kindly take this as constructive criticism. Overall the hotel is quite nice and the staff helpful. Thank you for your attention.

The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was the room itself . I wish the bathroom would of had some privacy to it as in some more privacy . Luckily I was sharing the room with my wife of 20 years and not a family member or a friend .

Incredible hotel. Treated my family to a fun night out to celebrate my mom's birthday and had an amazing time. Staff were polite, courteous and welcoming. The rooms are stunning and the views like no other. I would highly recommend and will be back! Thank you.

Pros: Super easy airport access, just walk over. Staff are really nice Nice lobby Cons: Had some problems with the room key. You can see right into the shower from the main room. Would be very awkward if you’re travelling with family or friends. Overall good!

My husband and I were on a one night getaway without our 5 children and this is the place we booked because it looked and sounded great online. The decor was nice! I was floored when I walked through the front door because of the funky, modern furntiure and bright colors but all that disappeared when we took the elevator up to the 2nd floor saw the tiny restaurant/bar over in the corner of the lobby - Not even in a separate room. So we couldn't enjoying having drinks at the bar but that was okay because the main reason we booked this hotel was for the pool. The restaurant/bar would just have been a bonus. When we found out that was closed that because they had "quite a few youngins in it" I was, again, floored. Hahaha. Isn't that why you have pool cleaning schedule through the night when the pool is closed? Anyway. It cost us just under $300 for the night and I've never been more disappointed. We had ONE NIGHT away....and couldn't do what we had planned based on the online info of the hotel we chose. Wishing I could have got my money back the minute she told m the pool was closed....but, ofcourse, that wasn't an option.
