As a grandfather traveling with my daughter’s family of four (including two small children), there were not many Vancouver hotels offering the comfort that we needed. Only the Granville and two others offered two separate large beds plus a large sofa bed. The bedroom with a door was very private. The hotel has underground parking (extra), and a lobby restaurant which was a bit pricey, but the food was excellent with no waiting lines. Room had a microwave, a mini refrigerator, and a balcony. The location is a retail paradise with a children’s park, pharmacies, grocery stores, and restaurants all within a couple of blocks. The staff is as nice as you will find anywhere in the world. The furniture was solid, but a bit worn. Some homeless people hanging around the area at night, but they seem friendly and keep to themselves. Good hotel security. All-in-all a wonderful 8 day stay.

We have a wonderful stay here. All the staff was really really helpful and kind. We found it really easy to get around and lots of great places to eat near by. Easy walking to Granville island water taxi and Science World. Two great bakeries close by. We were traveling with 3 kids and are coming from another big city so our kids are used to seeing all kinds of city dwellers. If you aren't comfortable with seeing all walks of life ( homeless or drug users) then Granville street or Vancouver as a whole might not be for you.

Very well located, and exactly what we were looking for in terms of space (we are a family of 5). Cons to staying here are homeless folks around the building.

The area surrounding this hotel is full of homeless and addicted people. I would not recommend for any family. It's sad to see such a problem in Vancouver.

We loved our visit to the city of Vancouver! We found the staff to be extremely friendly especially to our children. The hotel is centrally located and is a very nice property for downtown. We were able to walk to a neighborhood park as well as a few dine-out family places. We had to drive to get to some of our destinations like Granville Island and Capilano Suspension bridge although I know there is a decent mass transit and shuttles around. We wouldn't hesitate to come back! Loved it!

Customer service was excellent, however, outside the property is set up with homeless and doesn’t feel safe with children.
