Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia

The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the heart of Sofia. It's a large hotel with multiple lift lobbies and large meeting/ event rooms everywhere. The private spa and gym accessible with a fee is world class with a range of equipment and experiences that would shame most hotel spas in northern Europe. NYE dinner at the Vienna Restaurant was very well planned..They even had a crèche for younger children with games and activities organised all evening in a room next to the restaurant. Thoughtful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Recommended, especially the spa. Only annoyance were the temperamental lifts and electronic room doors that didn't quite work. Overall, excellent stay. Recommended.

We absolutely LOVED staying at the Millenium - it is a beautiful five-star hotel and truly lives up to its billing. Every staff member we dealt with was friendly and very helpful. We couldn't believe how quickly our requests were consistently met, from asking for additional towels to even clearing out the minibar so we could cold-store a few extra items of our own. The hotel is sparkling clean and the incredible spa is unlike anything I've ever seen before. If I return to Sofia I would absolutely choose to stay here again, and this is the hotel I'll be recommending to any friends planning to visit the Bulgarian capital. The only point worth mentioning is that the pool is not included with your stay (must pay extra, but SO worth it!) and it's only available for kids between the hours of 11 AM and 1 PM, so if you're traveling with your kids you'll want to keep that in mind.
