Great time with the family. They met all our needs. Good communication and service. We relied on their boat and cart to go to and from town since they are across the channel. Seemed to work fine for the most part

I hate to categorize the entire staff in one rating. ..the waiters, bar tenders, cleaning staff, captain were all AMAZING. My issue was more with management.. During our visit i was provided a whatzzap number that i used several times to try to get a response. Several times the response was delayed and in one ocassion I was left stranded at the split under the pouring rain, i had to walk under the thunderstorm (lighting) with all the souvenirs i purchased for my family (got wet) for about 30 minutes, barefoot because my shoes were not appropriate to walk through mud and potholes of water,. I also asked the first day for help with my return home and had to go to the office in person to see if i had to fend for myself ..which it was the captain who assited me by giving me times and reassurimg me that he will wait for me at 630 (i think they call him papi) and had the conceirge from the other hotel help me with a taxi because i was not sure that i was getting assistance and after the split situation i decided to fend gor myself. I also requested to have my room cleaned every day since the first day i got there, however had to ask daily anyways They send some super nice to dry off my clothes abd she made me laugh and forget the situation ..also got my meal for free that night but i was extremely upset due to the split situation. Again the staff is nice

🚨BE AWARE🚨 This is a beautiful property however please be aware that your life will be in danger. My friend and I nearly drowned under the resorts supervision, the resort owner was there and witnessed EVERYTHING. WE WERE INVOLVED IN A BOAT ACCIDENT, FELL INTO THE OCEAN WITHOUT LIFE VESTS. This incident happened in January and she still HAS NOT CONTACTED US as she said she will. We have been calling and texting but no response. We are very disappointed, hurt and disgusted in the type of people that they are. There’s no common courtesy, no empathy for human beings, and no professionalism. Especially because we THOUGHT we had built a beautiful bond with the resort owner which claimed “We are family” here at El Ben. The resort continues to promote, celebrate and make videos on a boat where we fell off from and ALMOST DIED! I’ve been traveling for the world for YEARS! And never experienced something so disheartening and terrible like this. This is very unfair and unacceptable! We demand answers!! #belize #cayecaulker #beaware #unsafe

My family of 11 stayed at El Ben Cabanas from 2/18-2/25 and we had the most amazing stay and experience. The property is immaculate, the staff is incredible and accommodating (Harold and Merli were so wonderful), and the restaurant on-site served delicious food, consistently. While the property is on the north part of Caye Caulker, it was easy to walk south of the property to the split to take the ferry to the south. The staff at El Ben was always willing to offer us golf cart rides if we wanted to go somewhere a little too far for some members of our party to walk. They helped us set up excursions and were so wonderful to work with. They also helped us with transportation over the course of the week to and from the south part of the island. We are already talking about a future trip to Belize and El Ben is definitely where we will stay.

The staff here was incredibly generous, kind, and is like a close knit family. This would be a wonderful place for a yoga retreat because of how naturally beautiful and well maintained the grounds are. The ease of transportation was key for me. Staff and crew were very accommodating us and our toddler. Food and drink were excellent and affordable. Didn’t want to leave and will be back.

From the greeting upon arrival to the complimentary boat rides to the south end of the island. Our (My husband and two kids [13, 7] and I)stay at El Ben was our best stay out of all our vacays/trips. The cabana feel was extraordinary! Very authentic and gave the perfect vibes to what we were looking for in a stay in Belize! Love how all the furniture and little things were made out of this beautiful type of sturdy, good quality wood, from the toilet paper holder to the floor, and chairs. The restaurant is definitely a FIVE STAR in my book. Every single meal was made to perfection! The pools were clean, grounds around the property kept clean, and it's the perfect place for some R&R/peace and tranquillity. Shout out to Mr. Adrien for getting us back and forth from the south to north end, THANK YOU GUYS at the El Ben Cabanas!

My family and I stayed for one night and very sad we did not stay longer. The property is beautiful. The food is delicious! Everything we ate tasted so yummy. The staff is so friendly and made our stay even better. We had a chance to meet one of the owners and she was incredibly sweet. I saw several locals come up to her while we were waiting for the water taxi and everyone loved her. We cannot wait to come back and see all the new things they have planned for this beautiful property.
