Charming hotel, amazing location and wonderful staff. The rooms are unique and comfortable. My family and I loved the excellent breakfast.

Our 3 night stay at this hotel was outstanding. The location is very convenient, only 10 minutes walk to the main tourist sites in central Vienna. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of my bags was delayed in London and the front desk staff spent a lot of time and effort arranging the recovery process. We had a junior suit which was spacious and beautifully furnished. Breakfast each morning was spectacular. All around wonderful experience.

Our first impression was no one helped us with our bags. We were traveling with a baby and found it really off-putting there wasn’t a luggage cart or an offer to bring our bags to our room when the property is marketed as a 4-star experience. The bathroom was very underwhelming. The amenities were what you’d expect at a budget motel in the United States and the breakfast was not very good at all. It was basically bread, meat and cheese. There were no hot options and it was very disappointing.

Definitely delivers on the throwback Austrian empire feeling. Service was excellent as well. Only major issue is that the AC was off, but we seemed to be in the AC season from the dates the hotel published (said it was off through April; we were in early May). It was too warm to sleep and the local kids were partying outside the window (with *loud* music) so we could not leave the windows open. Note that the windows really do block out sound, so we chose sweating over noise.
