The Sands Torquay

Amazing as a family get away. Staff are nice enough to put us as close as possible and upgrade one room. Husband and son in law had a game of golf. Could be better if our premier suite room has a microwave oven and bigger fridge and simple cutlery like fork and spoon plates etc.

Probably one of the worst holiday experience I’ve ever had, booked the dog friendly twin room for my birthday with my wife and pup, paid $400 and these dog friendly rooms are all facing the carpark with no views whatsoever, room is small and carpet has very strong urine smell. Beds are tiny and saggy, there’s no sound proving we could hear other rooms people coughing, doors banging constantly which keeps giving my pup a fright, kids running and screaming in the hallway at 12am. I would not even pay $200 for this, we could not take our pup to use any of the amenities. Requested for a room with golf court views because it’s my bday was told I have to pay extra, staffs were not accomodating at all. I will never come back here, any Airbnb would be so much better than this!
