Melbourne Marriott Hotel

Check in was excellent. We were welcomed with a hot chocolate for the children and glass of sparkling wine for the adults, which was a lovely surprise after a day of walking around the city. We had a couple of hiccups with the tv not working and less towels provided than guests booked in. Francis, the concierge, went above and beyond to address these matters and convince us that it was his priority for us to enjoy our stay. Thank you Francis.

There is no heater. There was a loud screeching noise late night and early morning. They did not change our towels. When we called to ask for more towels they did not come for several hours. For the breakfast buffet they charge the same price for kids and adults. The shower has half open glass so water leaks on the floor when you take a shower. The bathroom door did not close. It didn’t feel like the staff cared. The location was good.

Excellent value, my kids loved the pool and the buffet breakfast! The staff were very accommodating.

We booked a mid winter family staycation to escape the cold and enjoy a short break. The service was next to none from the moment we arrived to the time we left. We were greeted promptly and the staff were so pleasant and welcoming. Check in was very smooth and quick accompanied by a chilled glass of bubbly. The buffet breakfast was convenient and the staff again were very attentive and lovely. The kids enjoyed a dip in the pool and being walking distance to the shops and Fitzroy gardens. We cannot wait to book another trip again soon.

Stayed in junior suite for king bed , very comfortable and quiet even though these are located next to lifts

We stayed for three nights with 2 young kids.The Hotel is in a great location with easy walks to main streets and shops. It was always clean and the Hotel staff were really helpful and lovely people.We enjoyed the gym facilities and the pool and spa.When in Melbourne again it will be the first Hotel we look at for availability.

From the moment we stepped out of our airport transfer bus, the experience began! We were warmly welcomed as we stepped off the bus, as we walked through the doors into the hotel and again at the front desk. Offered a drink on arrival and our 2 small, shy and tired children well cared for. The service continued to that level our whole stay. Concierges were fantastic, always greeting and farewelling, anticipating what we might need, chatting with us and remembering what we said. A gift was left for us on our last day congratulating our family on becoming Aunt and uncle for the first time (our reason for being in Melbourne). We couldn't believe it! Our girls thought staying here was so wonderful! Thank you to all the staff for the amazing stay with you. We will return!

This is a beautiful hotel, nicely located near Melbourne Central and theatres. Our room (a King Suite) was exceptional, with lots of room for two adults and two kids..! They loved the indoor pool and spa, and it is open 24/7 which is great. All the staff were fantastic, and the glass of bubbly on arrival was a nice touch. I haven't seen that before! We will definitely return in the near future (from regional Vic) and we will be telling everyone about it.
