Room had a terrible smell upon entering. The kids beds head area were very dusty caused allergy issues for both. Shower head was leaking and sprayed water onto toilet paperwork roll and toilet. Facilites outside of the room was fantastic. It was a great location, nice views, very relaxing feel. Staff were very welcoming and lovely.

Sails Port Macquarie is situated outside of the main town centre but to our family's delight it is within walking distance to dining and retail establishments. Selecting the marina view rooms is very much worthwhile and even better to have rooms directly connected to the pool. We wished we stayed longer, but will definitely prefer to stay at Sails for our next trip.

Beautiful property and surrounds. We received welcoming and friendly customer service throughout our stay. Would love to return with the family. I’d suggest the restaurant is slightly overpriced for what we received, however meal was nice and convenient being onsite.

We loved the location and the bright airy spaces… the hotel could have had a gym and a he poolside was very noisy with children screaming all the time (clearly not something you can do anything about but was not as peaceful there. Restaurant is as well was really good.

Great location for river view. Great spot for kids to play in the pool. Rooms and public areas are fresh and attractive but the parking process is a major negative. $15 a day, supposedly run by a company other than Rydges, with a difficult to navigate self paying system that eventually we had to get the reception desk to do for us. It would seem slightly more tolerable if reception automatically took care of this on check in. Sadly this is not the protocol. No telephone in room, so for room service we had to actually go downstairs to order. When it did arrive, the battered fish was lovely.

Our initial experience at the resort was less than ideal. We experienced a delay of over an hour past check-in time before our room was ready. The resort compensated with drink vouchers, but there was noticeable reluctance to offer anything beyond standard options. This was unexpected for a resort of such prestige and price, particularly given the inconvenience on our part. While the staff were sympathetic, it seemed their hands were tied by management policies. The room itself was satisfactory, though it showed signs of wear. A notable issue was the inconsistent hot water supply, which affected several of our showers. The staff were prompt in addressing our concerns, but the problem persisted. Aside from this, the room was comfortable and we slept well. During our stay, we noticed the resort was particularly busy with families due to the school holidays. This made the pool area quite hectic, though it did quieten down after 7pm. However, the aftermath of the day’s activities left the area rather untidy. Dining options within the resort were limited and not very inclusive for those preferring non-meat dishes, prompting us to dine elsewhere. Thankfully, the resort’s location is convenient, surrounded by a variety of food and drink establishments. In summary, the resort’s natural beauty is undeniable, but the overall service and facility management fell short of our expectations, especially considering the premium cost.
