Catamaran Hotel Marina

We went in October (low season) and weren't told in advance that the hotel restaurant would be closed and there was no indication on the Expedia website either. However, our apartment was equipped with a full sized cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer which were brand new. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, gave a personalised service and were happy to cater for our particular needs. We really appreciated the great care the team took of their guests. The hotel, located in the Nelson dockyard National Park, has historic sites and secluded beaches within easy reach and is close to two convenience stores as well as on the bus route, although a hire car is better to explore the rest of this beautiful island. We would not hesitate in recommending this family run hotel and would very happily stay there again.

The hotel has an excellent location, right on the shore of Falmouth harbour. It has an own small and shallow beach, pool with free sunbeds. This part is aimable especially for families with kids. However, there is no adequate WiFi, warm water and privacy on the balcony. In addition the visibly very old refrigerator gave an almost unbearable noice disturbing sleeping.

Our first day we were greeted by Fiona, who invited us to eat with her family.. The Food was fantastic and so was the kindness of Fiona and her family. That was really impressive..

A family of 4 stayed for 5 nights just before Xmas. Amazing beach front view, close to nice restaurants and to pigeon point and galleon beaches. Great to have breakfast brought to our room each morning. Staff were very friendly, and thoroughly cleaned our room each day. Be prepared for mosquitos. Due to the season, insects outside made loud noise each night, and when that noise quietened, the roosters nearby started yelling nonstop from 5am in the morning. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but something to be aware of.

We stayed at the Catamaran with our 2 children this summer and from the minute we arrived - we had a fab time. Within an hour the girls had been taken out sailing (for free!) by Robert - who couldn't be more helpful - he's a great asset to the place. Nothing was too much trouble for Fiona the manager either - from tips and advice - to sorting anything we asked for. The hotel has a lovely chilled out and laid back vibe. The beach is perfect and calm for youngsters and the pool's just what you need for a change. We had a ground floor family room - with kitchenette - great value for money and so near the town and other great beaches. Do not come here expecting high-class luxury and all it entails - this hotel does what it says on the can - a traditional - laid back Caribbean hotel with smashing helpful staff and top value for money. Lovely family run hotel, very keen to help yet relaxed and friendly at all times. Do not expect full 24hr business hotel facilities (though WiFi was v. good) - but do expect idyllic location and smiles - on your face as well as on the faces of your hosts! I'm disappointed I had no time on my business trip to enjoy the sailing dinghies - perhaps next time...

We loved our post-sail 4 nights at the family owned/run The Catamaran. On the beach in a quiet part of Falmouth Hbr. Not fancy rather, comfy and homey. Good amenities, very close (walkable) to 2 good restaurant/bars. Owners were delightful.
